From This Episode
Host Mark Magnacca: “How did your team respond when you said you were going to be using video as an advisory firm?”
Kent Fitzpatrick: “You have to set your ego aside. The staff was skeptical at first, like, ‘Oh, gosh, here we go.’ But it was something we followed through with, and I had conviction. I was seeing it was working.
“But I didn’t want it to be all about me. So we created something for the head of our investment committee. We have a segment called ‘Weekly Market Minute” every Monday. It’s his show, and the rule is it has to be two minutes or less.
“It’s the news you can use. It’s like reading the front page of the Wall Street Journal. You can skim down to the tops of the trees, not digging in too far. I wanted to delegate so that different people were [speaking]. I wasn’t the only voice or headshot, because I may not resonate with certain audiences where others will.”
